Christian College, University of Kerala is owned and managed by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The college has produced several rank holders at the graduate and Post graduate level. This was among the few, colleges to be selected by the UGC to start the B.Sc Degree vocational course in Industrial Chemistry. Soil and water analysis lab functions under the Chemistry department for the benefit of the local public. The Botany department conducts training in mushroom cultivation for the students.
