Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Bihar National College, Patna aims at preparing the students as a noble, responsible, cultured, disciplined and self-reliant citizens with dedication towards national duties as well as moral values through modern teaching techniques for general and professional courses as stipulated by University Grants Commission. The college vision is to build an egalitarian society based on justice, freedom and harmony through our teacher-trainees, extension service and research. The college imparts modern quality education in the faculties of Science, commerce, humanities and Arts at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Placement
There is a Placement Cell in the college with a separate Office. The Placement Cell has been actively seeking the cooperation of various multinational companies and several such companies have conducted placement interviews with high success rate. This Placement Cell is helped by the University Employment and Guidance Bureau. In recent past, various national and multinational companies under campus placement programme have selected quite a good number of candidates from Patna University including several from B N College as well.
Infrastructures
The college have two separate big buildings one each for Arts and Science faculties. In the sprawling fields play grounds for various outdoor games and lawns with seasonal flowers alongside add to the facilities to the students and natural beauty of the campus. In the internal premises of the building central library, separate common rooms for boys and girls, laboratories with modern equipments/instruments well equipped seminar hall along with other useful facilities for students have been setup.

All the classrooms of the college are well furnished with all modern facilities.

The college have well equipped laboratories with modern equipments/instruments.
Library
The library has separate reference section/Journals section and reading rooms. Number of books in the library is 10,689, Total number of educational Journals Periodicals being subscribed Journals – 16, Periodicals – 3, Number of encyclopedias available in the library is 28, Number of books available in the reference Section of the library is 468 and Seating capacity of the reading room of the library is 100.
