Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024The Social Sciences Center of Bharati Vidyapeeth was established in 1981-82 as a Post-Graduate Research and Training Centre to conduct, organise and undertake specialised studies in the field of Social Sciences. The Social Sciences Centre is a grant in aid Institution under the Directorate of Social Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra. The specific objective of the centre is to impart education for the practice of professional social work leading to the post-graduate degree in social work viz. Master of Social Work (M.S.W.).

Placement
The placements of the MSW students are getting better year by year. There are various positions offered by the companies to the students like Social Worker, H.R Officer, Counsellor, etc. About 10 companies visit the campus every year with different positions to offer to the students at this institute.
Infrastructures
The Social Sciences Center is situated in New Law College Building at the Erandawane campus of the Bhartividyapeet University. The campus has all the modern facilities and if also situated in a strategic location.
Classroom
All classroom well furnished with Audio Visual equipments.
Laboratory
The centre is having Computer Lab with 26 Pentium IV machines out of which one is an IBM server. Lab is fully utilized for internet surfing and assessing information from the web by students, researchers and faculty members.
