The college provides admissions to those who are in the army or children of army soldiers

The college is great, facilities are also up to the mark, placements are outstanding for IT, There are strict rules. The college is only for boys, 10:2 ratio of students. The admission is granted through JEEmains, Hostels are very nice, There is a lot of focus on extra-curricular, There is great amount of innovation in the r&d labs by the students.

Good for freshers since the placements are good

AIT is one of the top colleges in Pune. Placements are really good. You wont howl of opportunities not provided. Even the big league companies like Amazon, ThoughtWorks and Oracle visit the campus. And if you are an above average student you will easily get placed.

AIT COLLEGE :: HOME AWAY FROM HOME

PLAGIARISED Strict rules but really great placements. Placements : The placements mainly occur in the beginning of the final year. Being an Army college, the best thing is that they make you disciplined and help you develop enough skills and confidence that you are not only ready to face any interview but also the life ahead very conveniently and without losing your cool. The placements went pretty well, but it is the computers and IT branches which were ahead of the other branches, be it in the number of placements and be it about big placements. Almost all the seniors in computers got placed and they were the once who got the big packages too. But the placements were good for electronics and mechanical guys too, but it is just that core companies for Electronics doesn't come to our campus and Pune being an IT hub, the mechanical guys also suffer a bit. In computer and IT departments, the placement was 98%, for mechanical it was around 75% and for electronics, it was around 88%. The highest package was 35 lacs, the minimum was around 3.5 lacs and the average salary is 5 lacs. Companies like Compworld, HSBC, Amazon, Mu Sigma, TCS, etc came to our campus. Students were offered various roles such as of analyst, programmer, developer, etc. Our college gives scholarship to students with SGPA >= 9 i.e. around 82%. The highest stipend that I know of is 4000 a month. Infrastructure : The Wi-Fi facilities are excellent and it doesn't matter whether you are in labs, hostel, library, etc, they have really implemented it well. The classrooms are well-maintained and clean with installed projectors and comfortable space for all. The library is the main attraction on our campus. It has got a big and beautiful reading hall, over 10,000 books with full power backup and is fully air-conditioned. The campus has also focused on the physical development of students by providing proper playing environment to the students. The campus area is around 30 acres is pretty small as a college. The canteen is very hygienic, the food served is worth paying for and strict actions are taken if it does not meet the standard quality. There is an issue with the hotel rooms. The number of students in AIT is more than the available rooms in the hostel, although they are making arrangements for them. The rooms are cleaned every now and then, the power cuts are almost negligible and no complaints of bed bugs. They send the extra students outside the campus to a nearby location called "Training Battalion 2". Faculty : The faculty team is very helpful and knowledgeable. Our faculty team consists of very profound teachers of their respective fields however like every other college, there are a few who are not very much into teaching but still are somehow pulling it off. Mainly we have chalkboard studies. The teachers may use projectors. Assignments and other useful information are shared through Moodle. There are 6-7 faculty members in a class of 60 students. We surely get a trip to an industry to get the insights and exposure to the industrial environment. Of course, the course curriculum was useful to understand the basics, however, the application in the companies differs for sure.

Very good and disciplined environment!

Rules are strict but they are for our own sake and the mess food is very good. The environment of the college is better as compared to other places. Good labs and well built academic block.

Army Institute of Technology Review

The college is different as it allows admission to army wards only. It is affiliated to Savitiri Bai Phule Pune University. It enrols 360 students every year in all the courses. Computer Science has the most robust infrastructure, whereas other branches too have above par infrastructure. It also offers a PG programme in mechanical. It is a residential college and has good infrastructure, though the sports infrastructure is below par. Food quality is better than most of the residential colleges. Ragging or any kind of wrongdoing is strictly prohibited on campus. AIT's USP is its ability to get its students placed. For last few years it has been around 90%. The average placement offer is above par and majority of the companies are IT related or finance related.Good core End, TC and Mechanical companies also visit though they are few in number. All in all, AIT is a good place to learn and develop your skills. There is no student politics here. Communication skills of AITians give them an edge over others.
