Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College mission is to disseminate education in humanities and science to meet the needs and aspirations of the people of Assam in general and of Nagaon district in particular, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex and to give ample scope in producing a livelihood after completion of formal education the college has set to introduce vocational subject, both as degree course and certificate course.

It is well stocked with more than 32,568 texts and reference books, more than a dozen of local and national newspapers, journals and other information sources like maps, globes, floppy discs, CD ROMs etc. The library has a reading room for students and an space is kept exclusively to teachers.
