Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (AJCE) is known as a βHarbingerβ in imparting engineering education in the entire Kerala region. AJCE was commenced in 2001 by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally.Β College is approved by the All India Council for technical education (AICTE) & affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam, Kerala. The main pros of the college its global standard of infrastructure, unmatchable faculty and high passes percentage, an outstanding placement record, which makes him sovereign among the other college. Amal Jyothi is the only engineering college in the state to have a Catholic priest as Principal who secured first rank in both B.Tech (Calicut University) and M.Tech (IIT Kharagpur). Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (AJCE) has a fully developed placement cell, which not just focus on developing employability skills but strive hard for the holistic development of each student. The placement cell of the college provides both on & off campus recruitment for the students. College trained their students through several activities such as Aptitude test, Group Discussions, Interviews and presentation skills. Dept. of Humanities and core departments assist AJCE placement cell in their training and makes learner competent for the top notch firms. The objective of the placement cell is to find out skill gaps through Industry-Academia interaction.

The library of the college was incepted in the year 2001 for imparting value based knowledge. The library of the college is spread over three floors of 30000 sq ft area. The objective of the library is to provide adequate knowledge to the learners through their rich collection of books (32000 volumes), print (160) and online journals, standards, seminar and conference proceedings and CD-ROMs
