All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology, Pune was established in August 1999. The college is a self financing college and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It is approved by AICTE and Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. The College is centrally located in the heart of Pune City about 1 km from Pune and Shivaji Nagar Railway Stations. The institute enhances the teaching learning experience by providing students greater resources, contact with industries and academia, employment opportunities and internships.

The institute has well qualified and dedicated staff with good infrastructure facilities for UG and PG courses in the form of well equipped laboratories in all the branches, namely, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Information Technology. The Institute also has Research center for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
The institute has received accreditation from National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. The institute has also received Permanent affiliation from SPPU for Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.

College has hostel accommodation for 200 girl students.

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)	3	The Candidate should be an Indian National Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; AND should have obtained score in MHT CET 2017 (PCM) or JEE (Main) 2017 Paper I as the case may be as per the required eligibility mentioned in the admission rules; OR ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only); OR(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.	-
Master of Engineering (M.E)	-	The candidate should have passed B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university. Selection will be on the basis of as per the university norms.	-

Placement

The college has established a full fledged Training & Placement Department, to encompass various activities from shaping the students to meet the stringent requirements of the Industry, and to make them suitable to excel in the highly competitive business world.

The institute believes that every student who joins the institution deserves to get a potential earning opportunity. The main objective of T & P cell is to motivate and guide students to explore the domains of various career opportunities, entrepreneurship and enhance functional skills by providing industrial training,industry associated projects & enhance employability skills by honing aptitude skills, communication skills,GD & PI skills. The placement cell is dedicated to identify probable employers & conduct campus interviews. We also invite experts from industries to guide the students on latest technology, expectations from industries and different career options. T & P cell also acts as information source for opportunity in higher education and their qualifying examinations such as GATE, CAT, GRE etc.

Number of students placed in campus interviews is growing year by year. Many companies regularly visit institute for campus recruitment.
