Akal Degree College for Women : Fees, Admission Procedure 2025, Entrance Exam Accepted & Placements

Akal Degree College for Women is affiliated to Punjab University. The college offers Post Graduate Diploma and Bachelor Degree courses. Its existence is to the generosity and vision of S. Gurbaksh Singh Sibia. The opening ceremony of the college was perfomed by Late Lt. General Harbaksh Singh Ji. The foundation stone of the new college-building was laid in 1980. It started BCA in 2000 and PGDCA in 2002. Computer Application is taught as an elective subject in degree classes. The college has as many as 508 students on its rolls. Seventy percent of the total student population belongs to the rural area.  The college is the premier girl institution in the area and perhaps the only institution which draws students from all over the Malwa region of Punjab.
