Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) was found in the year 1986 to provide quality medical education to aspiring students from rural areas. The institute provides excellent education with highly experienced faculty members. The institute is managed by Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (regd), which was established in the year 1973. The institute provides both under graduate & post graduate level degree programmes. Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences is recognized by Medical Council of India and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka. The vision & mission of the institute is to be a center of excellence with emphasis on socially meaningful medical education, research and healthcare and also to provide outstanding educational experience in all the disciplines of medical sciences which will equip our students to provide a comprehensive, culturally sensitive, community oriented health care to individuals and families

The college has Library cum reading room, well equipped with periodicals, text books, study material, major dailies and popular magazines for both students and faculty.The library is housed in a spacious area of 2500 sq. mts. The interior is well furnished and designed with adequate partitions to enable students to spend quality time without being disturbed by the others.
