Average College

Surrounding is clean and full of greenery. Easily accessible campus. Campus is well maintained. Hostels are well furnished, mess food needs improvement. Classrooms and labs should be updated with latest technology. The college needs to update its syllabus, they follow the old pattern and syllabus. Campus crowd is average. Extracurricular activities are not much encouraged. TCS is the only company which recruit students from the college due to which only 30% of the students get placed. Placement cell needs to be active. Faculties are not approachable. Better faculties should be hired.

Not satisfied with the faculty

Adishankara is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala with a traditional building and infrastructural facilities. But it has all the necessary facilities for grooming a budding engineer. There are 7 computer labs and 2 practical labs for each specialization. There is a large library but since not updated necessary books are not available there. The college has good placements with about 70% students of our batch placed in different companies like TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, IBS etc. The faculty has very good educational qualifications. But most of them know only to teach theory. Only a few teachers are really good in imparting practical knowledge to students essentially needed for an engineer. The syllabus followed is also mostly theory based. The worst thing about the college is its canteen. Many times we skipped lunch because of the worst quality of food available there.
