Adamas University (under West Bengal Act IV of 2014) with an sprawling green campus extending over 100 acres nestled in Barasat (13 kms away from the Subash Chandra Bose International Airport Kolkata), and in its 2nd year of operation, aspires to impart finest quality education to the young minds of West Bengal, with an already established high quality research facility and a powerful team of teachers. The University has manyinternational initiatives collaborating with the industries and educational institutes to facilitate projects, research and student exchange programs.Currently, in its 2nd year, the campus has 1500+ current students and more than 800 resident students & faculties. The University has been established with the vision of providing quality education to students to help them become professionally competent as well as academically knowledgeable under the seven Schools of Studies, like

Meanwhile the system of imparting the education will be flexible and multidisciplinary with state-of the-art and interactive pedagogy, the University is expected to gradually grow to accommodate other areas of study, such as Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Fine & Visual Arts and different branches of Medical Sciences.
The Adamas University has been established by Sachis Kiran Roy Memorial Trust (SKRMT) (under the West Bengal Act IV of 2014) passed by The West Bengal Legislature and approved by The Governor. The provisions of The Adamas University Act, 2014, have come into effect on 11th April 2014, through a notification issued by The Govt. of West Bengal on the same day.
As the parent organization, The RICE Group will also contribute to shaping the destiny of the youth of West Bengal pursuing their studies in the Adamas University.

Short Term Plans
- Providing high-speed MIMO Technology Wi-Fi connectivity across the entire campus for better and easier accessibility for all
- Conducting classes through interactive white boards
- Recording and storing (streaming) of all classes held in the electronic medium for accessibility by the students, as and when required
- Implementation of various enabling technologies such as educational gaming, ERPs, dashboards, collaboration tools and educational analytics
- Providing the facility of SMS alerts for all, as and when required
Long Term Plans
- Setting up information kiosks, with touchscreen panels, for both students and their parents, thereby encouraging a culture of paper-less communication
- Developing and implementing customized apps for students
- Providing relevant important information to students by virtue of a smart card with an in-built chip that can be used in various ways as stated below:
- Each smart card will serve the dual purpose of being an ID card as well as a library card. Along with being used at the main gate for entry, in the - Accounts section and at the kiosk machines, the card will also help the students access the library services.
- This smart card will also provide access to information such as student profile, attendance, library books in Accounts, session marks, final results, news and events, notice board, value-added activities, sports achievements, cultural achievements, library fine, fee balances, student complaints and thought of the day, among others
- This smart card will be valid for student/staff Bank Account opening.
- The SMS services can be availed by the students only if s/he has the smart card.
- Providing the following benefits to the students through the Wi-Fi campus network as well as the online services:
- Ability to download study materials, class notes, assignments, articles, lesson plans, question papers (University/Board, House Test), e-Books, e-Journals, scanned copy of their certificates, lab manuals, resources, etc.
- Ability to access placement articles, personality development articles, latest news of industries, job vacancies and campus placements, etc., through the University portal
- Ability to register queries and suggestions online
