Academy of Technology (AOT) was commenced in the year 2003 & known as one of the most praised self financed engineering colleges in West Bengal. It's Trustee College, which is fully managed by Ananda Educational Development & Charitable Organisation (AEDCO), a trust under the chairmanship of Prof. Jagannath Banerjee, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. AOT has completed its glittering 12 years but the slake is still continues for improvement, exploring new pedagogy for the field of engineering and technology etc. College imparts undergraduate & postgraduate programmes for its learners. All programmes of the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. The objective of the college is to become career destination for all the young minds by imparting advanced knowledge and attractive placement for all its students. The academic excellence and entrepreneurship awareness is the main objective of this institute.

Placement

The placement cell of the AOT is fully dedicated and very hardworking, preparing professionals for the top organizations. The objective of the placment cell is to impart maximum number of campus interview opportunities for its students. AOT's strong Placement Cell is regulated under the chairmanship of the Institute Chairman accompanied by a resourceful advisory body consisting of corporate stallwards from IT and Core sectors. AOT has been accredited by Capgemini, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra and Wipro Technologies for campus placement.

Infrastructures

The college has one of the best infrastructure in the district. College has a sprawling campus placed in a picturesque location. The institute aims to the development of studies as a result it occurs as a the best which offers world class infrastructure motivational environment and hi tech labs. The faculty present here are also very much dedicated for the education. Institute owned library offers different types of books which refers to the student development. The institute is also well connected to the different parts of the city by different modes of transport. The objective of the institute is to uphold the ambience of discipline, learning and culture with deep regard for human values.

Classroom

Classroom is a place, where students excel their personal and professional horizons by learning. The international styled step-based classrooms are well furnished equipped with LCD projection systems and Wi-Fi enabled.

Laboratory

The college has a state-of-art computer laboratory equipped with 60 P-IV nodes on LAN system with free internet access through 512 Kbps broadband facility.

Library

The library of the college is well constructed spread in an over area of 6800 sq. ft. The library of the college has bountiful resources, well stocked with 45292 volumes of text books and reference books and more than 4240 titles on all relevant subjects 290 national and international journals and proceedings from IEEE magazines, back volumes of periodicals and national dailies are available in the Central Library. Outstanding: both in study and placement.

This is the best college under Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad university of Technology. The college has been ranked 3rd position in placement. Moreover, this is the college where professors allow the students to innovate new concepts. There are 3/4 guest lecturers who give the best ideas to student. The management of our college gives much enthusiasm and a pseudo support to grow up like a professional. Excellent environment of study. College creates a pressure on student to do their daily job and gives support to their area of interest. Moreover, there are such facilities which the normal college do not have, like coding, robotics, google innovation center, gym, playground (football, cricket, badminton, volleyball) etc. College is at 1 min walking distance from the railway station, so the connectivity is good. All the students are friendly and supportive. Overall, the college is excellent.

Excellent college for studying and placements

The college environment and staff is superb, all the staff members were very interactive and practical in nature, the way they teach and explain the concepts, was very easy to grasp for all of us. They make use of many real time examples to explain the concepts There is a google innovation center. There are mock practices held in the 3rd semester for interviews and placements.

(PLAGIARIZED) The Academy of Technology (AOT) is an engineering college in West Bengal, India.To meet the growing demand of technical manpower and in view of fiscal constraints at the government level, Ananda Educational Development and Charitable Organisation(AEDCO), a trust under the chairmanship of Prof. Jagannath Banerjee, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta, established the Academy of Technology in September 2003. Spread over an area of 10.66 acres, the college is affiliated with West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), and all the programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The students of the college are known as AOTians.

Companies including Saplabs, Thoughtworks, Oracle, TCS, etc. visit the campus. If you are not a very low merit student, you have a high chance to secure a job at the end of 4th year. If you want to learn, this is the place for you. The environment, the students, the teaching are all good at this college.
