Victory of ITM University’s Basket Ball Team at Youth Festival at Amity

Institute of Technology and Management (ITM University), Basketball Team (Men) lifted the trophy after the keenly contested Finals of the 5th Spardha Sports Fest “Compete to Excel” Basket Ball (Men) conducted by Amity University, Noida on February 6, 2014.

The tournament started on February 3, 2014, with 16 teams from different parts of the country divided into two pools competing on
league-cum-knockout basis. The ITM University team remained unbeaten and topped in their pool beating the other teams by a comfortable margin.

They beat Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University in the semi-finals 53 to 48. In the finals they faced Delhi Institute of Technology, Management & Research, Faridabad and trounced over them by a huge margin of 53 to 35. Avinash Sheoran was the highest scorer for the winning team, having scored 21 baskets.
