UPSC SCRA 2017 Eligibility Criteria

UPSC SCRA 2022 Eligibility Criteria – UPSC SCRA is a national level recruitment examination conducted to select candidates for the post of Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) under Indian Railways. The exam is conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on behalf of Indian Railways. Selected candidates will be required to undertake a four years long apprenticeship and will be commissioned as a Class I Officer under Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME).

The upcoming UPSC SCRA 2022 exam will be conducted in the month of July 2022. The official notifications and online registrations are expected to commence in the month of February 2022. Candidates are requested to apply for the examination before the last date.

UPSC SCRA 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Before filling in the application forms for UPSC SCRA 2022, aspiring candidates are advised to first check the eligibility criteria. Only when all the eligibility criteria are met by the candidate, his/ her application will be accepted.

The eligibility criteria for UPSC SCRA 2022 exam are as follows: –

• All candidates should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of second division from a Government of India approved board or university.
• Candidates should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject and at least one subject out of Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates should be of at least 17 and a maximum of 21 years of age as on August 1 of that year.

All candidates should note that age relaxation will be provided to students belonging to reserved categories. Confirmed details regarding the same will be issued after the official notification is released by UPSC in the year 2022.
