University Grants Commission May Allow Dual Degree Soon

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sought suggestions from all universities in India on the dual degree courses that can be offered to the students.


Dual degrees to the students will enable them to pursue different courses within the same time period. This will help them to be better equipped for the job market in a shorter span of time.


Students who are pursuing post-graduate courses can be allowed to pursue part-time management degree or diploma courses. This will help them get two degree without spending too many years in the academia.


The opinions and suggestions have to be sent to the UGC which will assimilate the suggestions received and later decide on probable combinations of degree courses. Students also seem enthused by the idea.
