SRMJEEE 2017 The Complete Guide

The SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering (SRMJEEE) is conducted by the SRM University each year. Aspirants can seek admissions in various engineering courses offered by the University. There are four different SRM campuses in India, namely, Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Ramapuram Vadapalani and NCR Ghaziabad.

SRMJEEE 2022 Application Process:

There are two ways to register for the SRMJEEE exam: Online and Offline. The online registration can be done on the official website of SRM University (https://applications.srmuniv.ac.in/). Candidates can pay the application fee via credit card, debit card or net banking.

The offline registration can be done by filling the OMR application form. After filling the form, it has to be sent to the university address by post. Candidates must note that the admit cards will be made available only once the duly filled application form is received.

SRMJEEE 2022 Important Dates:

The SRM University has released the official notification inviting candidates to apply for SRMJEEE in the month of November 2022. The following table shows all the important dates for SRMJEEE 2022.

SRMJEEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

The Kattankulathur campus has a slightly different eligibility criterion compared to the other three campuses. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board with minimum 65% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

For the other three campuses, the candidates should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

Only Indian citizens can apply for SRMJEEE 2022.

SRMJEEE 2022 Exam Pattern:

SRMJEEE 2022 will be a computer-based examination conducted at various centres across the country. The questions will be split into four sections. The following table shows details of the distribution of marks and questions.

One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections and 0.7 marks for each incorrect answer in the Biology section.

Aspirants who have filled the application form will have to book a slot to appear for the examination. Slot booking is mandatory for SRMJEEE 2022 and will open tentatively in the last week of March 2022.

SRMJEEE 2022 Syllabus

The SRMJEEE 2022 test paper will be divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Some of the topics covered under Physics will be Atomic Physics and Relativity, Dual Nature of Matter and Nuclear Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Electronics and Communication, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Heat and Thermodynamics, Mechanics, Oscillations and Wave Motion, Ray and Wave Optics and Magnetism and Units and Measurement.

Chemistry will comprise of topics like Atomic Structure, Bio-Molecules, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Chemical Families–Periodic Properties, Chemical Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Hydrocarbons, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen, Polymers, Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds, Solutions, Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Catalysis.

Topics covered under Mathematics will be Applications of Differential Calculus, Applications of Matrices and Determinants, Binomial theorem and its Applications, Circles in Two Dimensions, Complex Numbers, Differential Calculus, Differential Equations, Integral Calculus, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Quadratic Equations, Sequences and Series, Sets, Relations and Functions, Trigonometry and Vector Algebra.

SRMJEEE 2022 Admit Card

The University will release the SRMJEEE 2022 admit cards tentatively in the month of March 2022. It will be available for download on the official website of SRM University. The SRMJEEE 2022 admit card will contain all the important information of the candidate like the name, photograph, address of the exam centre, date and time of the exam etc.

Candidates must go through all of these details very carefully and check for discrepancies if any. Candidates must carry this admit card with them to the exam centre. They will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the SRMJEEE 2022 admit card. They must carry a valid photo ID proof along with the admission card.

SRMJEEE 2022 Results

The SRM University will announce the SRMJEEE 2022 results on May 2, 2022. A merit list will be released based on the marks secured in the SRMJEEE exam. The result will be released on the official SRM website and the rank obtained will be sent to the registered mobile numbers via SMS.

SRMJEEE 2022 Counselling

After the results are announced, the SRMJEEE 2022 counselling procedure will begin and the candidates will be called as per the rank obtained in the exam. Candidates coming for the counselling process are required to provide the relevant documents and pay the complete tuition fee for the first year.
