Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) in Delhi University (DU) was established in 1967 as a constituent college of University of Delhi. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, named after the great son of India, Shaheed-e- Azam, Sardar Bhagat Singh, is a co-educational college located in Sheikh Sarai in New Delhi offering courses in B. Com (Honours), M. Com, Bachelor of Commerce (Pass), B.A (Honours) Economics, B.A (Honours) English, B.A (Honours) Hindi, B.A (Honours) History, B.A (Honours) Mathematics, B.A (Honours) Geography, B.A (Honours) Political Science and Bachelor of Arts (Pass).

There are about 250 students in B.Com (H), 200 in B.Com and  100 in Eco (H) who registered themselves in the college placement cell and 60 have already been placed as confirmed by Dr.Anil Sardana, the Convener of the Placement Cell of the SBSC. The student coordinators who help in management of this cell are Shiva Agarwal, Kanika Mathur, Rahul Girdhar and Tashi Singal.

The placement procedure for 2011-12 started with the selection of 11 students by Ernst N Young in the month of September, which was followed by Grand Thornton which took 11 students. After these two companies, Axis Consulting visited the college taking 5 students. PWC recruited 4 students, while 15 were placed with KPMG. The company latest to visit Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was Protiviti.The other companies that are expected to visit the college are:
