State Bank of India (SBI) has announced 2200 vacancies for the position of Probationary Officers. Applications will be accepted through online mode and will be available for download from 4th May to 24th May 2022.

There will be two stages of the examination: preliminary and main. The preliminary examination will be conducted on 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th July 2022. The results will be announced on 19th July 2022. Candidates who qualify the main exam will be called for a group discussion and personal interview. 

The segregation of  2200 posts category wise is as follows:

  • General : 1028
  • Scheduled Caste: 351
  • Scheduled Tribe: 231
  • Other Backward Class: 590

Aspirants willing to apply for the exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria. Candidates applying for the post should have attained 21 years of age and should not be above 30 years, i.e. s/he must have been born on or after 2nd April 1986 and on or before 1st April 1995. However, age relaxation is provided for the reserved category candidates.

A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or have an equivalent degree recognized by the central government. Students who are appearing in the final year/last semester exam can also apply, provided they submit a proof of graduation on or before 31st August 2022. Applications are also open for Chartered Accountants.
