NIT Puducherry PhD Admissions 2016: Registrations to Close on Sept 15

The registrations for admission to a PhD course in National Institute of Technology (NIT) Puducherry will conclude on September 15, 2022. Candidates interested in a full-time or part-time PhD course from this institute should submit their filled-in application forms before the last date.

The institute offers PhD course under the department of English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Candidates applying for either full-time or part-time course will have to appear for a common written test and/or interview.

Eligibility:

• Candidates applying for a PhD course in engineering departments should have a first class BE/ B.Tech degree or ME/ M.Tech degree or Masters degree by Research (MS by Research) in the relevant field of engineering/ technology.
• Candidates applying for a PhD course in Humanities & Science departments should have a first class master’s degree in the relevant field of humanities/ science
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks of aggregate or equivalent CGPA of 6.5 for OC/ OBC category and 55% marks of aggregate or equivalent CGPA 6.0 for SC/ST/PH categories.
• Candidates applying for full-time course should have a valid GATE/ CSIR/ UGC/ NET score.

• Fill-in the application form
• Post the filled-in application form to NIT Pondicherry along with the self-attested photocopies of required documents and application fee in the form of a demand draft

The demand draft of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST/PH category) should be drawn in the favour of ‘The Director, National Institute of Technology, Puducherry’.

The application form, DD and documents should be sent on ‘The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Thiruvettakudy, Karaikal – 609609’.
