JEE Advanced 2014: Candidates with Seats to Make Online Payment by July 4

The first round of seat allocation for the candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced 2014 has been announced.

Steps to Check Seat Allocation:

1. Candidates may login to JOCSAP with their JEE (Advanced)-2014 Registration Number, Roll Number and password created during choice filling.

2. If a seat is alloted, follow the link for Seat Acceptance through any of the four Payment Modes (DD/NEFT/RTGS/ICICI EPG/SBI EPG).

3. Upload the relevant scanned images/pdf of original documents (less than 500KB)

The last date of acceptance and online payment of provisional admission fee for allocated seats in 1st round is July 4, 2014.

The web release of the second round of seat allocation for JEE Advanced 2014 candidates will be on July 7.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), considered the mother of all engineering exams in India, is held for admission to various engineering courses like B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch and B.Planning.

JEE apex Board has two stages – JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Once candidates clear JEE Mains with certain scores, they appear for JEE (Advanced) examination for admission to 16 IITs and ISM, Dhanbad.

The candidates who clear the exam will be eligible for admissions to undergraduate courses at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) (Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar and Varanasi) and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

In total, over 9,700 seats are available for candidates seeking admissions in above institutes.

For instance, IIT Bombay has 880 seats, 851 seats in IIT Delhi, 1,341 seats in IIT Kharagpur, 838 seats in IIT Madras, 827 seats in IIT Kanpur, 1065 seats in IIT Roorkee, 1,090 seats in IIT (BHU) Varanasi and 962 seats in ISM Dhanbad. These seats include courses of different disciplines at undergraduate level.
