Jamia Millia Islamia Conducts North Zone Inter University Table Tennis Championship 2013 (Men & Women)

Jamia Millia Islamia hosted the North Zone Inter University Table Tennis Championship 2013 (Men & Women) from January 3 to January 5, 2013.

A total 37 Teams under Women’s Category and 40 Teams under Men’s Category had participated in the Championship. The Finals of the Championship was held on January 5, 2013 in the Jamia Sports complex and the results are as follows:

Men’s Category

• Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar defeated Jamia Millia Islamia by 3-0.
• Delhi University, Delhi beat Punjab University, Chandigarh by 3-0.
• The Ranking of the team under Men’s Category were – 1st - Delhi University, 2nd - Punjab University, 3rd - Guru Nank Dev University and 4th - Jamia Millia Islamia.

Women’s Category

• Guru Nanak Dev University defeated Kumaun University, Nainital by 3-1 Delhi University, Delhi beat Allahabad University by 3-0.
• The Ranking of the team under Women’s Category were – 1st Delhi University, 2nd -Allahabad niversity, 3rd Guru Nanak Dev University and 4th - Kumaun University.
