Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore organized seminar on Managing Big Data

Every organization collects data from various sources this lead to Big Data. Big data is a collection of huge and complex data sets that becomes difficult to process. Keep it in mind Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore organized a seminar on managing Big Data. This seminar aimed at provides a platform to discuss issues related to Big Data, what are the challenges and main opportunities lies. Objectives of this seminar are set as

• Understanding the concept and scope of Big Data
• Sharing issues pertaining to Big Data
• Exploring solutions related to handling of Big Data
• Exploring new vistas of research in Big Data

Seminar comprised of two session i.e. first session consisted of oration of eminent speakers from academia and industry, while second session came with paper presentation contest for students where they were expected to submit a write up on the topic of the seminar before commencement of the seminar. Winners and runner ups in the student categories were awarded by Rs.5000 and 3000 respectively. Seminar was open to faculty members and the students from management and engineering institutes and was without any registration fee. Management also provided the pick-up & drop facility to the participants.
