ITMU Wins Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz

It is their great pleasure to announce that the prestigious Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz Award goes to ITM University this year.

A three member team lead by Anshul Kharbanda, President, Quiz Club, ITM University, Gurgaon under the guidance of Dr. Gaurav Gupta won the Ahmedabad leg of the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay University, Gandhinagar on October 20, 2013. Kanica Aggarwal and Vaibhav Kaushik were the other two members from ITM University.

Battling 62 teams like IIM Ahmadabad, NIRMA University, DAIICT, PDPU, NLU and others, the team from ITM University qualified with ease for the finals. In the finals, ITMU took an early lead and won the quiz with a whopping 85 points. With this, ITMU booked its place in the grand finale in Delhi on Saturday, 16 November, 2013 at Jesus & Mary College in Delhi.

The Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz is an opportunity to engage Indian students from the best colleges and universities across the country for an Inter-Collegiate Quiz. The winners of the quiz get an all-expense-paid trip to Sweden and an internship opportunity with one of the partner companies.

The Embassy of Sweden, together with a number of partner companies, has organized the Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week annually since 2007. Held in October, the week showcases the innovation and creativity of Sweden. In addition, it promotes Swedish culture such as art, cuisine and music to the Indian public. The week reflects Sweden's commitment to widening and deepening Indo-Swedish relations.
