About Intelligence Bureau:

The Intelligence Bureau in India is responsible for executing counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism tasks. They are responsible for collecting intelligence in order to maintain internal and border area security of India. The Bureau works under the Ministry of Home affairs and seek for able individuals who have the zeal to serve the nation with unconditional passion and patriotism.

The Ministry of Home affairs has recently invited application for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officers (ACIO). If you have the grit and passion to stand for your country, this is your chance to make a difference. The Bureau will be hiring 750 (can be subjected to change) ACIOs after a written examination followed by an interview.

Eligibility to apply for the post of ACIO in Intelligence Bureau:

• Applicant should not be more than 27 years old.
• Upper age limit is relaxed by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates.
• The age limit is 40 years for departmental candidates who have rendered three years of service.
• Age limit is also relaxed for ex-servicemen and residents of Jammu & Kashmir as per the regulations issued by Government of India.
• Minimum graduation degree or its equivalent qualification is required.

Application procedure to apply for the post of ACIO:

Candidates applying for the post of ACIO for Information Bureau need to submit an application fee of Rs 100 in State Bank of India either online or offline.

Offline mode:

• Candidates need to deposit the application fee through a system generated challan form.
• The challan form will be generated while submitting the online application form.
• The form will contain details like name, registration number, account number etc.
• Candidates will receive a counterfoil containing transaction number which needs to be kept preserved for future.
• Candidates are required to submit the fee along with the challan form at least after 3 hours of online submission of the application form.

Online mode:

Candidates need to visit the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs and follow the link for Intelligence Bureau recruitment in order to fill Inthe form. Candidates can pay the application fee through net banking or debit cum ATM card.


Syllabus for the written examination for the recruitment of ACIO:

The examination of Intelligence Bureau for the post of ACIO consists of both objective and descriptive type of papers:

• The objective test may include subjects like General Awareness, General Knowledge, English Language, Reasoning and Mathematical Aptitude.
• The subjective paper tests the English language writing skills and includes essay writing.

Important dates for recruitment of ACIO by Intelligence Bureau:

• Intelligence Bureau is accepting application for the post of ACIO from 20th July 2012.
• The last date for online application is 19th August 2012.
