An IITian in a Pursuit to Make Rural Aspirants JEE Ready

Where you and I are running behind our jobs and looking for professional growths post quality qualifications, there is an IIT alumnus who is giving shape to others’ dreams. Ashutosh Kumar, an IIT pass-out, has launched a JEE preparation website ‘testbook.com’, which will help rural students appearing for IIT entrance exam to take free online tests and assess their JEE preparations.

Kumar, who himself belongs to Madhubani district in Bihar,  aims to make quality study material easily available and accessible to rural students who wish to get admission in IITs and crack IIT competitive exam, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

The JEE online tests and JEE mock tests to be performed online has been devised by Kumar and his other IIT friends with precise care for the aspirants. Also, this website, which is available in the lighter version of an app too for 2G sim card holders, provides free JEE online content for JEE preparations and at the end taking up tests.

When asked, Kumar said there were a large number of students from different states, mainly Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and some parts of Chhattisgarh, who appear for competitive exams but don’t have appropriate study material.

Also, meeting up the new online writing exam pattern becomes a challenge for rural candidates and this website/app will wisely help these candidates in practising such patterns, said Kumar.

Not just this, but the test series available in the market are highly-priced, which becomes an issue for students in the lower income group. However, this new invention by Kumar will help these students considerably.
