IIFT admission process will start in March or April 2022. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade or IIFT is an autonomous organization which conducts a national level IIFT entrance examination for 2 years full time MBA in International Business, also known as MBA IB. The selection procedure of MBA IB at IIFT involves a written test, an essay write up, a group discussion and then personal interview. The selection process for IIFT for MBA IT is conducted for the candidates who have cleared the written examination of IIFT. This exam is conducted for its Kolkata and Delahi campuses. This article highlights the stages of IIFT admission process.
The selection procedure of IIFT for MBA IB has following stages:
Written Test: The first step for admission process in IIFT is a written test which is going to be conducted by IIFT in November 2022. In order to qualify for the next step, the candidates are required to qualify this exam. The candidates are required to score more than or equal to IIFT cut off which has been specified. The result of IIFT examination will shortlist the candidates who will be called for the next round of IIFT admission process. The result of IIFT written test is expected to be declared most possibly by December 2022.

Candidates are required to register for IIFT exam 2022 before 5th September, 2022.

The Exam Date is 27th November, 2022.

Total number of question will vary from 120 to 125.

IIFT exam pattern will be of four sections i.e. English Comprehension, General Awareness, Quantitative Analysis and Logical Reasoning.
Essay Writing: The candidates, who have cleared written examination and have scored as per the cut off list, will be called for next round that is an essay writing round. To qualify this round, the candidates are required to write an essay, for which they can be given any topic with a time limit. This round is conducted in order to test the communication skills of the candidates. This round is followed by group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates are required to pass this essay writing test to reach to the next round. The average time limit for this round is 20 minutes. The total word count for essay is 300 words.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview: GD and PI is the last stage of IIFT admission process 2022 - 2020 session. In this round, candidates will be judged finally based on their performance. For this round, only those candidates will be called who have already cleared IIFT written test and the essay writing test. IIFT will conduct this round in the campus only. At first, there will be a GD round and then there will be a final personal interview. The average time limit of this round is 40 minutes. There will be total 2 panellists. For group discussion, candidates will be given around 20 minutes and there will be 3 panellists.

There will be 2% award given to the gender diversity out of 20% in personal interview. So, for male, the interview will have weightage of 18%.

IIFT will prepare a final merit list after the candidates successfully complete theses rounds. And on the basis of final merit list, candidates will be given admission to IIFT for MBA IB.
IIFT selection criteria for essay writing will be based on the performance in written exam. IIFT will shortlist the candidates for the next round of essay writing, based on written test. And thus, the same will be followed for group discussion and personal interview. Essay writing assessment will be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

IIFT Selection Process for NRIs and Foreign Nationals .
Foreign Nationals and NRIs are eligible for applying to IIFT 2022 also. These candidates can directly apply via GMAT score. And they aren’t required to appear for IIFT exam. These candidates are required to submit their GMAT score for admission to MBA IB by March 31, 2022. Foreign Nationals and NRIs can get
IIFT application form which is available by 5th September, 2022. For them,
the total fee will be Rs. 4500.
IIFT Admission Schedule
IIFT will declare its result for 2022 session by February 2022. Those candidates who have been shortlisted can go for application; the process is expected to take place in March/March 2022. IIFT will conduct the other remaining rounds of selection process either in fourth week of January or in the middle of February 2022. IIFT will offer provisional admissions to the candidates who clear all the rounds of IIFT admission process. The concerned institution needs to be informed about the results by the students and if they fail to do so, their admission will automatically will be cancelled.
