Results for 10th and 12th under the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), has been announced on May 17, 2013.
 
This year itself, mostly 1.5 lakh students appeared for the ICSE exam and another 60,000 for the ISC exam.
 
The pass percentage for 2013 stands at 98.2% and 95.15%. Even though boys outnumbered girls in taking the exams, like last year, girls have outperformed boys in 2013 with a healthy score of 98.78% as opposed to the boys' 97.73% in ICSE and 96.66% against the boys' 93.91% in ISC!
 
Anika Agarwal, Simran Khanuja from Pune and Manasi Arora from Mumbai with an aggregate score of 98.40% are the highest scorers for ICSE, while the highest score for ISC 2013 has been bagged by Bhuvanya Vijay, a student of Dehradun.

 

India has around 1,930 ICSE and 800 ISC schools. The ICSE (Class 10) examination had begun on February 27th while the ISC (Class 12) exams began on February 4th.
 
The ICSE/ISC results will be declared on May 17th at 3:00pm according to a notification released by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
