The FYUP is the biggest reaching change in the recent history of DU. It has replaced every existing undergraduate course of study in every college and every discipline (professional courses & some other low-enrolment courses may be exceptions).
As the DU's Four-Year Programme became the talk of the town everywhere, it surely generated a lot of opinions amongst the people especially the teachers. While the initial stage of implementing FYUP did not show any positive response from students and a high plea of protest had shown, on the other hand DU's top academic body had adopted a four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP) which was implemented from July 2013 and the programme has been successfully following in every colleges of DU thereafter.
The programme will entail a shift from the present 10+2+3 scheme to a four-year graduation with multiple exit points and freedom to complete remaining years later.
