GITM, Gurgaon, Haryana organizes NSS camp

Gurgaon Institute of Technology & Management organized (GITM) organized an NSS camp in Pathreri village. Around 50 volunteers were the active participant of this camp aimed at doing social services, survey of the village, made people aware towards various global problems like scarcity of water and electricity, made them understand about the harms of polythene use etc. Students were also involved in cleaning programme of government schools to spread the message regarding keeping school grounds neat and clean. Students were given the privileged to teach in primary schools also during their NSS camp. Cultural activities like singing, dancing, joke cracking etc, were the part of this camp to cheer up the students. Adventure activities like mountain climbing was also organized. DR. Satish Kumar, Head of Dept. (English) was the coordinator of this camp.

At the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Mr. I.S. Joon delivered his speech in front of village people. Problems faced by students during the time of survey were intensely discussed with village Sarpanch and hoped for adequate solutions. The students who participated in this camp were given a certificate of ‘active participant’ and best volunteer and best camper students were chosen to be awarded.

Gurgaon Institute of Technology & Management (GITM), Gurgaon affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, is one of the premier institutes of Haryana.
