The Enact Collective of the Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), University of Calcutta, celebrated the 146th birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on 1st October 2015 by giving a tribute to him through acting out the episodes from his book- Hind Swaraj.
A team led by Mr. Parnab Mukherjee decided on visiting 12 different landmarks where Gandhi had laid his footsteps which would end at the Sabarmati Ashram.
The first episode was enacted on the 1st of October 2015 in the Common Room of Bhawanipur Education Society College where they acted out against the evils of today which bought out a whole new dimension making it interesting.
The skit was of about 35 minutes with the inclusion of beautiful classical music played which sparkled the act. This was followed by an audition session which went on for an hour. The Tribute ended on the banks of Sabarmati River.
