Here are a list of some questions which come handy to you post the filling up of application forms.

What should a candidate’s next steps be after the cutoff lists are declared ?

After the declaration of cut-off lists by the university, candidates need to report to the college/s of their choice for admission within the stipulated period. At this stage, the student would be required to fill the admission form and the university enrolment form. The student would then get his/her documents verified and pay the admission fee. 

Will a candidate be considered eligible for admission if he/she has applied for re-evaluation of any of the Class 12 papers ? 

The colleges shall consider admission of the candidates whose marks get increased in the process of rechecking /revaluation by their respective boards within the prescribed period of admission provided that such a candidate fulfils the other eligibility conditions laid down for admission. 

Will a candidate be eligible for admission if he/she is placed under compartment in Class 12 ? 

Candidates placed under compartment in one subject only at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, or an examination recognised as equivalent to any statutory university/board will be eligible for provisional admission in colleges, School of Open Learning and NonCollegiate Women's Education Board, if they obtain the required minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate by adding the minimum pass marks of the subject in which the candidate has been placed under compartment to the marks obtained in remaining subjects. Candidates who fail to appear or fail to pass at the compartmental examination by December of the year of admission shall not be entitled to continue on rolls and their provisional admission will be cancelled without any further reference to them. Candidates placed in compartment in one/two subjects in Class 12 who are not eligible for provisional admission to regular colleges and the NonCollegiate Women's Education Board (as per the first condition above) may, after clearing their compartmental examination and securing at least 40% marks, must be admitted in a college before the prescribed last date, subject to availability of seat. Candidates placed in compartment will not be considered for admission to BSc (hons) courses under the Faculty of Science. Are candidates of senior secondary state boards for which results are awaited eligible for admission? The results of some recognised educational boards are declared after the registration process is over.Therefore, candidates of such recognised boards should be considered for admission in subsequent cut-offs even if their percentage comes /covered in previous cut-offs, subject to the availability of seats provided such candidates have registered for admission during the undergraduate registration process. 

 What is the venue for registration of SC/ST candidates ?

Registration of SC/ST candidates will be on till 18th June between 9.30 am and 2 pm at the Faculty of Arts (North Campus); office of the dean, students’ welfare, South Campus; Rajdhani College, Raja Garden and Shyamlal College, Shahdara. 

Is it mandatory for a candidate belonging to the SC/ST category to clear CATE for admission to the BA (hons) English course ?

SC/ST candidates and those belonging to physically-handicapped category are exempted from CATE for admission to the BA (hons) English course. Candidates falling in these categories will be registered centrally to the BA (hons) English course as per past practice.
