On 27th September, 2011 a whole day meeting from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. was organised by All India Assam Student Union (AASU) of Dibrugarh district at Choukidingi in Assam to elect new student union.
A new union was formed in the presence of student unions of all government schools and colleges of Dibrugarh. Pronob Das and Bikash Gogoi were elected as President and General Secretary of AASU, respectively. A farewell was given to former union and an oath was taken by the new union.
Besides this, Twentieth Student Union Magazine “Smriti Granth” was inaugurated by executive member, Mr. Anil Gogoi and Advisor, Anupam Sakia.
