The results of All India Bar Exam (AIBE) have been declared on the official website of Bar Council of India (BCI).
Candidates who appeared for the examination need to have their roll numbers handy to view the results.
The exam was held on 25th August, 2013.
It has become mandatory for all the law graduates to take the AIBE. The decision by the Bar Council to conduct AIBE has been mired in controversy from day one. Till 2009, law graduates could start practice after passing their final year law exams and signing up with a local bar group.
According to the BCI (Bar Council of India), the AIBE is not for getting license of Advocate, as believed by all, but for getting a 'Certificate of Practice', after getting the license of Advocate. This test is conducted every six months by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the apex statutory body to regulate the legal education and profession in the country.
Candidates are free to choose an examination centre of their convenience. The test has 100 multiple-choice questions spread across various subjects.
