DUSU Election Results 2013 out

After the voting that was conducted on September 13, the results of the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections have finally been announced.
The voting began around 8.30 am colleges in the morning colleges, while their evening counterparts went to polls at 3 pm.

During some last-minute campaigning, students were seen telling voters the ballot numbers of their candidates.

Among them Dayal Singh College (Evening) also conducted its voting on scheduled time and had been smoothly going on.

College has recently declared its election result 2013. Dhruv Kapoor selected as President, Shubham kr Yadav selected as Vice President, Vishwavijay Pratap Singh as General Secretary, Tarun Chaubey as Joint Secretary, Shivangi Sharma and Ankit Chamoli as Central Councillor.

Students have noticed lots of problems in campuses. One of the important issues in DU Colleges is lack of drinking water facility. Selected candidate’s main agenda for this year is to resolve this issue. They are pretty much confident about their work and want to fight for the students.

Another issue in most of the colleges is the new four-year undergraduate programme in the university, which was passed without consulting the DUSU or the teachers. The old three-year structure is what many of them want and they want to fight for it.

Dyal Singh Evening College, Delhi was established in 1959 managed under Dyal Singh College Trust. Dyal Singh College is a foremost college of Delhi. The college is a constituent part of the University of Delhi, which is also known as DU. The evening college offers undergraduate degree courses in Arts and Commerce stream. The College provides an opportunity to those who cannot attend day time classes. The evening courses are recognized equivalent to the regular day time courses. Dyal Singh College (Evening) provides all the modern amenities and facilities for the students.

Dayal Singh College, which started functioning as a constituent college of the University of Delhi, came under the administrative control of Delhi University in 1978, as a University maintained college. The College derives their name from one of the greatest philanthropist and education enthusiast of their time, Sargar Dyal Singh Majithia. The Societies and Clubs of the College form an important part of the essentials of education.
