The four-year undergraduate programme of Delhi University, which has been referred to as a step to help students improve their entrepreneurial expertise and the chance to get better jobs, has opened to mixed reactions from the applicants. But DU's faculty reiterates its positive impact, though several had protested.
Several reforms have been introduced through this FYUP. It has replaces all existing undergraduate courses at DU. In place of the three-year bachelor’s degree with ‘BA/BSc Honours’ and ‘BA/BSc Programme’ streams, the FYUP offers multiple degrees within a single stream – Associate Baccalaureate (2 years), Baccalaureate (3 years), and Baccalaureate with Honours (4 years).
It also says that students unable to clear 1st year & 2nd year due to whatever reasons are advised to clear I/II semester exam along with III/IV semester.
