Counselling Dates for Medical Colleges for Admissions to MBBS 2012

Medical entrance exams in India are some of the toughest & most competitive examinations with a highly skewed ratio between the number of medical seats available & the number of medical aspirants. AIPMT, NIPER, AIIMS, JIPMER, COMEDK, CMC Vellore CET & VITEEE are some of the main medical entrance exams in India.

Here's a look at the counselling dates for various medical colleges in India that offer MBBS, BDS & other medical courses for the academic session 2012 - 13:

1. GUJCET 2012 Counselling Dates

Admission Programme for candidates who appeared for GUJCET - 2012 and have applied for admission to First year Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda / Homeopathy / B.Sc.Nursing / Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Orthotics / Optometry / Naturopathy & BASLP Courses for the year 2012 - 13 of Govt, Municipal, Grant in Aid and Govt seats of Self Financed Institutions for the academic year 2012 - 13 will be from 17th - 28th July 2012.

The candidates are hereby informed to remain present for personal interview at their own expense according to their merit number/merit marks on the date and time mentioned in the following programme along with all the original documents and Rs. 15000/- as part payment in cash at the admission Committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses, BJ Medical College Ground, Opp. Trauma Centre, New Civil Hospital Campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad-16. 2. BCECE 2012 Counselling Dates

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts Combined Competitive Entrance Examinations (BCECE) for admission in Graduate level Vocational Courses in Engineering, Medical and Agricultural streams available in the Universities, Colleges and Institutions of the State of Bihar as well as those situated outside Bihar against State Quota seats. The BCECE 1st stage exam was conducted on 22nd April 2012 & BCECE 2nd stage exam was conducted on 3rd June 2012.

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE) also conducts Post Graduate Medical Admission Test (PGMAT) for admission in Post Graduate Medical Course in Medical Colleges of the State of Bihar. The 2nd round of counseling for PGMAT 2012 was held on 14th & 15th July 2012.

3. Karnataka CET 2012 Counselling Dates

The process of counselling for students who have successfully cleared Karnataka Common entrance test (KCET) for engineering courses started from 13th June, 2012.

The venue of counselling for KCET was shifted to National institute of technology, Karnataka (NIT-K) from Karnataka (government) Polytechnic (KPT).

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2012 is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for students seeking admission to Medical,Dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses in professional educational institutions in Karnataka for the academic session 2012 – 2013.

KCET exams were conducted from 21st May to 23rd May, 2012. The KCET result was announced on 6th June, 2012.

Earlier the KCET counselling venue was Karnataka (government) Polytechnic (KPT) but due to lack of infrastructure Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) shifted the counselling venue to NIT- K.

4. KEAM 2012 (by Kerala CEE) Counselling Dates

KEAM stands for Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical Entrance Exam conducted every year for admissions to professional degree courses like Engineering, Medical Allied, Agriculture, Veterinary & Fisheries courses. KEAM is conducted on behalf of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

The Entrance Examinations are held at all the District Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE). The allotment to KEAM is made through a Single Window System of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).

Important Dates:

The activities relating to the Second Phase of Allotment to Professional Degree Courses 2012 (i.e. counselling) will begin on 19th July 2012.
Facility will be opened for candidates to re-arrange higher options, delete unwanted options and to register options to newly started Courses and Colleges from 19th to 21st July 2012 on the official website www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

The second phase of allotment will be published on 23rd July 2012 based on the options registered till 5 pm on 21.07.2012.

Candidates who receive allotment in this second phase will have to remit the fee/additional fee/deposit at the designated branches of SBT on 24th & 25th July 2012.

5. KIITEE 2012 Counselling Dates for MBBS/ BDS

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) is one of the prominent technical institutes in the country offering various courses. They conduct entrance examination for Medical and Management aspirants known as the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE). KIITEE 2012 was conducted on 22nd July 2012.
