The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for entry into one of the 17 national law universities for the academic session 2022-17 will be held on May 8, 2022. A notification in this regard was issued by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala, the organising university for the exam. The online application submission process starts on January 1, 2022.
Eligibility criteria/Educational qualification:
For undergraduate programme, a candidate must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in case he belongs to General/OBC/Specially-abled persons category, and at least 40% in case he belongs to SC/ST category. Those appearing for the qualifying exam in March/April 2022 from a government recognised board can also apply. No age limit has been prescribed for sitting in this exam next year.
For the postgraduate programme, a candidate must have passed LL.B. or equivalent degree exam with a minimum of 55% marks in case of General/OBC/Specially abled persons categories and 50% in case of SC/ST category. A candidate appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2022 is also eligible to apply.
Application fee- The online application fee for the test is Rs 4,000 for General, OBC and Specially-abled Persons (SAP) candidates, and Rs 3,500 for SC and ST candidates.
The last date for submission of duly filled online application form is March 31, 2022.
