The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the results of Class 10 board examinations 2013. This year, the overall pass percentage is 98.76, a marginal increase over last year.

Girls once again performed better than boys. For girls, the pass percentage stood at 98.94%. On the other hand, the pass percentage for boys stood at 98.64%.

The overall pass percentage in Chennai region is 99.80, the highest in comparison with other regions in the country, according to a statement by CBSE.

The results in Chennai region were announced on Sunday, 26th May 2013.

A total of 1,25,7893 students registered for Class X exam this year, which is an increase of about 6.67% over last year.
