Bio Technology course qualified for AIPMT?

The Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr. D. Purandeswari, in a written reply to a question, in the Lok Sabha revealed that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has requested the Medical Council of India (MCI) to consider Bio Technology as an eligible subject in Class XII, so that students studying Bio Technology are eligible to appear in the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) for 15% merit position in all medical colleges in India.

This move came in as a result of a move by the MCI, who had amended the ‘Regulation on Graduate Medical Education, 1997’.
