About Delhi University B.Ed Colleges
Known to be one of the most prolific Indian educational institutes, Delhi University offers candidates to pursue Bachelor’s in Education via colleges affiliated to it. Each year, Delhi University B.Ed colleges take candidates based on the merit list. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the eligibility and the performance of candidates in the B.Ed. entrance examination. The first step in the B.Ed. admission process is the online registration. Thereafter, students are required to appear in the B.Ed. entrance examinations and clear the cut-off score to get the admission in the prestigious Delhi University.
DU B.Ed. Colleges Admission
Students are awarded B.Ed. admission during the counselling event. Candidates aspiring for Bachelor’s of Education are required to clear the cut-off score of B.Ed. entrance examination to participate in the B.Ed. counselling. A merit list, based on the eligibility and the score in the entrance examination scored by candidates, is used to admit candidates. In the case of a candidate awarded B.Ed. admission is absent during the counselling, the seat is awarded to the next candidate on the merit list.
Students are required to submit the complete course fees before the last date of fee submission. Failing to do so can result in the cancellation of the student enrolment from the concerned college.
DU B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring for B.Ed. course from Delhi University and its constituent colleges are required to meet certain criteria before filling out the application for B.Ed. entrance examination. Following are the eligibility criteria that need to be met for enrolling at Delhi University B.Ed colleges:
Eligibility – I
1. A Bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised university with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with 55% aggregate marks in 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern.
2. At least two subjects studied at the Bachelor’s level, which needs to be taken as school teaching subjects in B.Ed. course with at least 50% aggregate marks in both subjects.
Eligibility – II
1. A Master’s degree or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised university with a subject that needs to be taken as a teaching subject, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
OR
2. A Master’s degree in Commerce from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
OR
3. A Master’s degree in Philosophy, Sociology or Psychology from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
AND
4. At least one subject studied at the Bachelor’s degree level, which needs to be taken as a teaching subject later, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
OR
5. A Master’s degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
AND
6. At least two subjects studied at the Bachelor’s degree level, which needs to be taken as teaching subjects later, with at least 50% aggregate marks.

All of the constituent DU colleges are directly supervised by Delhi University. The university is responsible for making appropriate changes in the management and non-management affairs of the colleges from time to time.
Delhi University B.Ed Colleges Important Dates
Delhi University starts the online registration process during the latter half of May each year. The cut off for the Delhi University B.Ed colleges is released in several rounds. The cut off announcement is made category wise.

DU B.Ed. Colleges Fees
There is a slight difference in the B.Ed. fee structure decided by each DU college offering B.Ed. courses. All of the colleges accept yearly fees, which includes the tuition fees but excludes the examination fees. The latter is to be paid during the filling up of examination forms. Fees required for joining different clubs available at the college campuses aren’t included in the course fees and hence, are required to be paid separately. The estimated fees for pursuing B.Ed. from Delhi University is somewhere between the INR 10,000 and INR 20,000 mark for each academic year.
