Aadab, the annual festival in Zakir Hussain Delhi College

The ZHD college student`s body organizes the annual cultural event by the name of “AADAB”. This event spans over multiple days involves theatrical, literary , dance , music and other events.

The previous years have seen star performances, ranging from classical to rock and also witnessed huge crowd of students.

1. WORDWIZ – the bilingual essay writing competition. If the pen does the talking for you, this is the event you should be in.
2. WAR OF WORDS / VAADH-VIVADH – the bilingual debate. Gilt edged words lash across the table as every contestant strives to outdo their competitors. No debate could ever be fiercer!  
3. QUINTESSENCE – The quiz competition. If you have the knowledge about the world, then this is the place to be and show it off.
4. WHOZ’ LINE IS IT ANYWAY – the slogan writing competition.

1. BRUSHES – On the spot poster making competition. Paint red if you`ve got the blues this morning.  Splash around and get the colors united. Color your thought and let your imagination run amuck.
2. PAINTING GONE WILD - the face painting competition. This is an exciting and enrichment event. This shows the talent of how to use contours of the face to maximum possible use of depictions.
3. THE WORLD IS A CANVAS – The wall painting competition and the largest canvas available to paint your imagination.
4. SILHOUETTE – The photography competetion. Each photograph tells a story and the best story wins the prize.

1. THIRAK – The dance competition. If you know how to dance to the groove, then this is the place to shake your hips.
2. NUKKAD NATAK – the street play competition - the informal drama competition, an effective medium of communication.
3. ROCK VEDA – The western/fusion band competition - a platform for the new upcoming bands of the country to show their talents in rock and fusion music. So let the music flow.

1. INDIAN FUSION MUSIC NIGHT – Fusion Music is gaining massive popularity among the youth of today. Zakir Husain Delhi College is known for its rich cultural background and this night has some of the most exquisite Indian fusion performances.
2. ROCK NIGHT – Rock night burns its marks in the memory of each and everyone witnessing the spectacle. The rock show has seen exhilarating performances by popular Indian Bands and hosted colossal crowds of about 3000.
