Annual Day celebration at S.R Government College for Women, Amritsar

S.R Government College for Women, Amritsar hosted its annual day on April 10, 2015 in the presence of Dr. Sharnajit Singh Dhillon, Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University as Chief Guest.

 

The principal Mrs. Sunita Seghal Dhillon welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and read the annual report of the college embellished with achievements. She highlighted that college was accredited with A grade by NAAC,Bangluru in cycle ii of assessment. 

 

This achievement has added another feather to the cap of oldest women college in Punjab with envious record of distinguished alumni. Around 200 award winners wee felicitated by the chief guest who have excelled in academic, co-curricular and sports. University merit position holders were awarded roll of honour.

 Jaspreet Kaur was declared the best student and best speaker. At Post Graduate level Shambhavi Sharma was awarded best scholar and cultural roll of honour and best sport person award was bagged by Shikha. 

 

The chief guest congratulated the principal and the award winners for the achievements and appreciated the ceaseless effort of the college in the field of quality assurance. He urged the young learners to take up challenges in life by redefining their limits, as grit and determination can change the destiny. A colourful cultural programme showcasing the rich heritage of Punjab marked the culmination of the program me followed by national anthem.
