All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will organize its annual fest PULSE

AIIMS is the premier Institute for medical education, medical care and research in India. It is been rated as the best medical institute in India and its fest is no exception.

PULSE, famous festival of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, will be organized on September 16- 22, 2013. It is by far the largest medical festival in South Asia. “PULSE” has a history of 40 glorious years.

Each year a staggering crowd of 40000 young doctors attend the fest. Various events ranging from sports, culture, literature, art etc are conducted. Last year it had marked the presence of famous celebrity singer KK, performed his best tracks.
This time though it is not decided yet still all are hoping for a rocking night with lots of fun. It is expected that around 700 medical and dental colleges across India and all colleges of Delhi will attend this fest.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMSs) are a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012, was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 27 August 2012. This bill will also replace a recent Ordinance which allowed the six AIIMS-like institutes to become operational from September 2012. Lok Sabha passed the AIIMS (Amendment) Bill, 2012 on 30 August 2012. The proposed measure will help the Centre change the status of the six new AIIMS registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act to be autonomous body corporate on the lines of the existing AIIMS in Delhi. AIIMS (Amendment) Bill, 2012 was introduced in Rajya Sabha on 3 September 2012. Rajya Sabha passed the AIIMS (Amendment) Bill, 2012 on 4 September 2012.
