IPRS is an initiative to bring more transparency in the placement data reported by the B-schools which will bring more credibility in the rankings of the B-schools and help aspirants, recruiters as well as other stakeholders take informed decisions. The report will also serve as a yardstick for fair comparison of numerous B-schools on the basis of various parameters.
Overall, the Summer Placement of 2013 at SIBM Pune was an overwhelming success. A total of 174 students participated in the process. 75 were offered marketing/sales profiles and 45 students were offered HR related functions. 4 students were offered locations outside India. FMCG/Consumer durable companies made the maximum number of offers with 48, followed closely by IT/ITES with 30 offers.
The adoption of IPRS is a significant step towards establishing credibility and transparency in the reporting standards of SIBM Pune. Bharani Krishnan Ganesh, President, Student Council, said “We are thankful to CRISIL and recruiters for their cooperation in bringing transparency in the placement reporting process.
