150th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at ICFAI University Campus

150th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated at ICFAI University, Jharkhand Campus on January 7, 2014.

On this occasion Vive-Chancellor Prof. O.R.S. Rao, Sr. Academic Advisor Dr. K.K. Nag, Registrar Dr. B.M. Singh, Associate Dean Prof. A.S. Prasad, Vice-President of Jharkhand Academic Council (J.A.C.) Dr. Abdul Subhan, Swami Jai Tarananda and other dignitaries from several schools and colleges were present.

Addressing to the students and guests Prof. Rao said that, in a person character development values & ethics play an important role. An educated and learned person can play an important role in development of society & Culture. Swami Jai Tarananda in his speech focused on life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

A small skit of life of Arunima Sinha was also performed by the students of BBA & BCA of ICFAI University Jharkhand and a Puja Dance was performed by students of MBA 1st Year.

Many Competitions were organized for students on this occasion. An Inter School Quiz Competition was organized for the students of 11 and 12 class of different schools. More than 20 schools participated in this competition. The winners were:

Inter University/College Essay Writing Competition was also organized. Topic was –“What are your learning from Life & Teachings of Swami Vivekananda and how will you use them to Improve Yourself”. Winners were:

Handy Craft Competition was also organized. It was only specified for the students of ICFAI University Jharkhand. Several eye catching hand crafts and paintings were prepared by students. Winners were:
